Recieved a lst minute invite to the concert and what a magical event it was. The biggest thing that sticks out about the concert is that it’s a family event. His family created this to honor his legacy which says scores for the type of person he was. That is true greatness, and that is the greatness I want to leave in the world after I leave, Lord willing. He is a genius of music, but the fact that he was acknowledged by different generations of artists and fans (I’m 26 and there were people in attendance younger than me..though I hope for the same reason but I digress) which shows the type of famy values he and his wife enstilled within his kids. It’s so sad to say this, but Dr.Martin Luther King, one of the greatest people of history, hasn’t been honored in the same way. Now his national holiday is nothing to sneeze at, along with his Nobel Peace Prize, but your FAMILY hasn’t done anything to that degree, or maybe they have i just hadn’t seen it, and if I am wrong please correct me!
But again I digress greatly, the night was magical, it re-energized my drive for what I am working for, and it’s a event I hope more people attend next year
